Corey Plante

Corey Plante was the Associate Gaming Editor at Inverse for three and a half years, where he covered the world of video games and the people who make them. Before that, he was Inverse’s most trafficked writer covering entertainment with a focus on Star Wars, Marvel, Game of Thrones, and more.
Before that, he was the Assistant Editor of Motif Magazine, a local arts, entertainment, and culture magazine based in Rhode Island. Corey graduated from Emerson College’s Masters in Multimedia Journalism program in 2015, receiving the annual Graduate Student Excellence Reward for reporting on local crime. Corey earned an undergraduate degree in Literature & Language Arts from Providence College.
Corey grew up playing Zelda games with his Mémère (his French-Canadian grandmother), but these days his favorite games include Bungie, Final Fantasy, Mass Effect, and the original Overwatch (just to name a few). Cooking and exercising remain two of his favorite hobbies — although not typically at the same time.
